Villa Balat, considered one of the most beautiful houses in Namur, is located in an exceptional location: between the Pont de Jambes and the Pont des Ardennes, offering a direct view of the citadel and the Walloon Parliament, meeting the Meuse and Sambre (the Confluent). It is located a stone's throw from the historic center of Namur, close to restaurants, shops and museums. "L'Enjambée", a cyclo-pedestrian footbridge linking Jambes to Namur, comes to die at its feet! Vehicles can park on Mazy or Champêtre streets. You can also book a closed garage when booking online, both for cars and bicycles. Cars cannot use the towpath along the Meuse.  La Ferme de la Cour It is an old farmhouse of character composed of several buildings and outbuildings gathered around a large interior courtyard. A beautiful garden, a small vegetable garden and a beautiful meadow complete the whole. Our pretty farm is located in Martilly, a very small, calm and peaceful village in the Belgian Ardennes, on the edge of Gaume. The Ferme de la Cour is rich in history; it was notably the court of justice of the County of Chiny until 1732. It also belonged to horse merchants; it saw the birth of generations of draft horses, the breed that defines our beautiful region. A flower meadow, beehives and the breeding of small animals will complete our project and will be divided between our vegetable garden adjoining the building and our pasture located a few steps from our property. An orchard and a vegetable garden will be created based on the principles of ""permaculture"" in order to cultivate fruits and vegetables while respecting nature, the environment and people. After almost 8 years of work carried out largely by us with the help of friends, relatives and our daughters Lauraline and Clara, La Ferme de la Cour opened its doors; the dream that became a project then became reality and we are proud and happy. At certain times of the year, several activities take place inside the castle such as archery and crafts, falconry shows, ...  This 10 ha park located in the middle of nature offers you the opportunity to observe the inhabitants of our forests as well as their close relatives on the farm. On a 1.2 km pedestrian route, in an environment close to their natural way of life, you will meet a herd of fallow deer, deer and deer, mouflon, a herd of wild boar and wild boar, wolves, lynxes, foxes, eagle-owls… Then stop by the pets of the mini-farm and take the time to appreciate this natural space on the cafeteria terrace facing the playground.
